Sladen Library Services and Support for MSU Affiliates at HFH Campuses

Henry Ford Health physicians and nurses with an affiliation to MSU should continue to utilize the Sladen Library for their library needs including literature searches, document services (ILL/article requests), and manuscript preparation.

  • Sladen Library provides literature search and systematic review search services to any patron with HFH Corp credentials (i.e. HFHS email address). MSU affiliates working on Henry Ford Health campuses are welcome to utilize our services and resources for their clinical information and/or research needs.
  • Sladen's reference and document services are available to all users with HFH Corp credentials. Our online resources and collections are available to all users onsite, and remotely to users with HFH Corp credentials.
  • More information about all of the services we offer can be found on the Library Services page

Access to MSU Libraries Electronic Resources

  • Henry Ford Health team members who are clinical adjunct faculty at MSU can access MSU Libraries' electronic resources using their MSU department-assigned NetID and password. Neither Sladen Library nor the MSU Libraries can issue MSU NetIDs.
  • MSU recommends contacting the MSU Department or College that oversees your appointment if you require access or assistance with a MSU NetID. From MSU Libraries: Affiliates at Hospitals info page

Partnership & Open Access Publishing Fee Waiver Agreements

  • When publishing research articles resulting from the HFH + MSU Health Sciences partnership, author's may be able to take advantage of MSU's open access fee waiver agreements to cover or receive a discounted rate on an OA journal's article processing charges (APCs). In order to do so, certain criteria must be met:
    • the corresponding author must list MSU as their primary affiliation
    • an MSU email address must be used during submission
  • Additional information, including participating journals, can be found on this page: How does MSU support open access publishing?

Publishing

  • The partnership has been added as an organization within ORCID. If you wish to add the affiliation to your ORCID profile, search for "Henry Ford Health + Michigan State University Health Sciences" as an organization.
