Clinical Skills provides step-by-step instructions on how to perform common nursing skills and procedures. Each skill can feature - animations, videos, or illustrations; a supplies list; a quick sheet synopsis; and comprehensive extended text. The skills are developed and updated according to evidence from clinical practice guidelines, national standards, peer-reviewed journals, and authoritative nursing textbooks. In addition, nursing associations such as AACN, ASPEN, and ONS contribute to the development and review of content in Clinical Skills.

Clinical Updates CE provides free CE credits on a variety of topics. RNs are the target audience of Clinical Updates CE, although contact hours can be earned by LPNs and allied health professionals if they meet requirements. Elsevier is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation.
