Michigan’s State Health Assessment and Health Improvement Plan 2012-2017 (MDCH) - In June 2019, the MDHHS Public Health Administration launched a new 15-month State Health Assessment process (SHA) process designed to help determine how healthy Michigan's residents are overall, what health conditions cause the greatest challenges in the state and what factors contribute to those challenges, and what existing resources can be mobilized to address the health needs within the state.
