General Statistics

Data.census.gov (formerly American FactFinder) (U.S. Census Bureau) - Data and digital content from the U.S. Census Bureau. The Census Bureau stopped releasing new data in American FactFinder (AFF) at the end of June 2019 and transitioned to data.census.gov for data releases formerly on AFF. AFF will remain as an archive system for data and functionality that are not yet available in data.census.gov until March 31, 2020. After March 31, 2020, American FactFinder was decommissioned and is no longer available
Data.gov - The U.S. Government's open data. Find federal, state, and local data, tools, and resources. This page gives links to data by agency.
Kids Count - Data Center (Annie E. Casey Foundation) - A project to track the well-being of children in the United States
National Vital Statistics System (NVSS) (NCHS - CDC) - The mechanism by which NCHS collects and disseminates the Nation’s official vital statistics
Statistical Abstract of United States (The National Data Book) - Ceased October 1, 2011. To access the most current data, refer to the organizations cited in the source notes for each table of the Statistical Abstract
United States Bureau of Labor Statistics - Measures labor market activity, working conditions, price changes, and productivity in the U.S. economy
United States Census Bureau - Official site of the U.S. Census

GHDx - Global Health Data Exchange (IHME) - IHME provides rigorous and comparable measurement of the world's most important health problems and evaluates the strategies used to address them
NationMaster - Economic and demographic indicators, across 300 industry verticals, for market sizing and trends
UNdata (United Nations) - Search and download a variety of statistical resources compiled by the United Nations (UN) statistical system and other international agencies, such as population, life expectation and mortality, education, crime, health personnel and expenditure
The World Factbook (CIA) - Information on the history, people and society, government, economy, energy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 267 world entities
World Health Statistics - WHO’s annual snapshot of the state of the world’s health
The World Bank World Development Indicators - The primary World Bank collection of development indicators, compiled from officially-recognized international sources. It presents the most current and accurate global development data available, and includes national, regional and global estimates
WHO Global Health Observatory (GHO) data - WHO's gateway to health-related statistics for its 194 Member States. It provides access to over 1000 indicators on priority health topics

CDC Wonder - Information and Communication - Makes the information resources of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) available to public health professionals and the public at large
FastStats - National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) - Quick access to statistics on topics of public health importance
