This guide contains information about accessing the electronic and print journals at the Sladen Library. Use this guide to also learn about retrieving full text articles from databases, journal metrics, and alerting services.

How to Access Full Text Articles in an Ovid Search

The button appears on every citation in the Ovid database providing a convenient way to check Sladen full text availability and if available, directly link to the full text article.

Getting Started

Perform a search in Ovid Medline or PsycINFO on the topic of your choice.

Below is an example of a citation as displayed in the result list of an Ovid Medline search:

Important Tip!

When searching in Ovid and opening full text links, if you wish to return to the search results page, use Ovid's internal navigation links located at the top of each page. Be careful when closing windows or using your browser's "Back" button because this could result in losing your entire search!

Article Requests

Need an article from a journal that the library does not provide access to? Not a problem, we can request a copy of the article be sent from another library using our ILLiad system. Please visit the links below for more information.
