First Time Users

If you are using the Sladen Library for the first time and would like to check out library materials, please fill out the Sladen Registration Form.

Sladen services are exclusively for Henry Ford Health physicians, employees, and affiliated students.

Access

Sladen databases and electronic resources are available for Henry Ford Health team members and affiliated students.

• If you are using a computer at a Henry Ford Health facility or on the Henry Ford Health network, you will not need an ID and password to access online resources.

• For access from home or off-network, you will be prompted to login to remote access.

• Most users can login to the library remotely using their Henry Ford Health Corp ID and password (it's the same as your Henry Ford Health Outlook ID and password). Contact the Sladen Library if you do not have a Henry Ford Health Corp ID and password.

Article Request Form
We would like to have all the materials our patrons may need, however, from time to time you may need articles we do not own. We will be happy to obtain articles for you from other libraries and email them to you (or you may pick them up in the library).
Literature Search Request Form
Do you need help finding information and evidence on a topic? The library staff performs literature searches free of charge for Henry Ford medical staff, employees, students and volunteers. We have a lot of experience in searching medical information databases. The results of a search will be a list of relevant articles, with abstracts where available. Your search can be e-mailed, faxed or picked up from the library. Turn-around time for searches is 24 hours.

Online Catalog
Our library has over 3000 items available for check-out. Use the Henry Ford Libraries' Online Catalog to check to see if we have the items you need. Most items circulate for three weeks and may be renewed. Borrowing privileges are extended to all Henry Ford Health medical staff, employees, medical students and volunteers.
