Education & Training

The Sladen Library & Center for Health Information Resources provides instruction for Sladen Library resources. Training is provided in multiple formats and can be customized to your needs. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscript preparation is a FREE service available to HFHS staff. So what does manuscript preparation entail?

Updating references and creating a specific style for your publication/presentation/grant/cv
Verifying citations
Inserting references within manuscripts (either Word documents or PowerPoint presentations)
Ensuring tables and figures are labeled appropriately and are in appropriate resolution
Assisting you with the implementation of specific guidelines attributed to your manuscript to allow for a stress free submission process.

Please note that there is a minimum one week turnaround for this service.

Updating CVs

In order to keep an updated CV, you will need to include any publications, poster presentations, grants etc. in which you have participated. We can customize a style for your references so that entries in your CV are uniform.

Request an Auto-Alert

Would you like to receive an auto-alert on a particular research topic, question, or your latest publications? If so, a Librarian can setup an alert to be sent to your email address from one of our popular databases such as PubMed or OVID MEDLINE. Simply email sladen@hfhs.org to request for an auto-alert to be setup.
