Sladen Library is excited to announce that we now provide access to VisualDx. VisualDx is a clinical support system designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy by visually representing the full spectrum of human disease across skin types. It includes expanded content across general medicine, as well as infectious disease, dermatology, STDs, travel medicine, and 22 specialties.

With VisualDx, you can:

  • Build a custom differential diagnosis based on chief complaint
  • Search by disease for therapy options, best tests, management pearls, and more
  • View 50,000+ medication reactions and adverse drug events
  • Understand travel-related illnesses and infectious diseases
  • Earn CME (PRA Category 1 - Internet Point of Care)
  • View the world’s largest curated library of disease images with over 45,000 pictures representing the variation and spectrum of disease
    • VisualDX includes one of the largest image representations of skin of color—28.5% of images are skin types IV-VI. A "Skin of Color" sort feature facilitates the quick identification of images of disease states in darker skin types.
    • Users can access age-specific content including infant, child, teen, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Download and incorporate images into teaching materials

Access VisualDx from the Sladen homepage, or find links within UpToDate articles (e.g. cellulitis, fluoroquinolones) and Epic.

You can also download the mobile app here, and while you are logged in to your personal account, every search can earn you CME.
